BioWare Talks Mass Effect, Jade Empire, Dragon Age for DS

I know you're reading that headline and thinking "This has to be a joke" - so did I - but no, this is apparently the real deal. BioWare is so pleased about their work with Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for Sega that the company is seriously considering DS titles for all of their major IP, with Mass Effect as the frontrunner. DS Fanboy has the word, as helpfully translated from the German article that originally broke the news:

Sonic Chronicles may lead to more familiar franchises for BioWare's handheld division, according to statements made by Chronicles lead Miles Holmes. Holmes says that the company is considering DS versions of its major franchises, including Dragon Age, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect. "Basically anything that reinforces the franchises," said Holmes.

His choice? "I tell you which one I would want. I want the Mass Effect one." He goes on to say that "a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to the next game."
