My first RPG was Dragon Warrior on the NES, and I loved it. When Final Fantasy coming along, I was absolutely blown away by the concept of getting to control four guys at once, instead of just one. From the sounds of it, Infinite Interactive's Puzzle Kingdoms evolves the Puzzle Quest gameplay in the same direction.
In the screen above, you'll note that the player character, on the left, has three troops underneath him. Each of them can level attacks at the enemy, so long as you collect a certain number of differently colored mana gems from the board. For instance, the fighter at the top cannot attack until you earn two purple-colored mana and the one in the middle requires two red. The powerful dragon character at the bottom of the list can attack for a whopping 12 damage points, but only if you collect five blue mana.
To say I want this game very bad would be an understatement. Fortunately, it's a Wii/DS exclusive, unlike the Infinite Interactive's other Puzzle Quest sequel, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix.

Is this out right now? I'm addicted to Puzzle Quest on my Mac. Must have more, especially for my plane ride to Japan in April. Yay.
I can't find a solid release date for it yet, but it should be out before Christmas. It isn't out now.
Thanks, Lynxara. That leaves me time to actually finish Puzzle Quest. Only 79 more levels until 100. =/
