This Just In: Mario Galaxy Still Awesome
Nov. 21So last week I posted about my TV breaking the day I got my copy of Super Mario Galaxy. It's fixed now! i've got a post brewing for when I beat Bowser, too. Right now, I have to say I'm having a lot more fun with this one than any of Mario's previous 3D efforts. Now, while Sunshine left me bored, Super Mario 64 was and is still better than 90% of all 3D platformers.
What really brought this post on, though, was Nintendo's self-congratulatory press release about how many copies Super Mario Galaxy sold its first week (a whopping 500,000) and how it's eclipsed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as the best-reviewed game ever. Well... not bad reasons to congratulate yourself, I guess.
If you're interested in further Mario Mania, both GameSpot and Eurogamer have star-snagging guides up, and I'm sure the kids at GameFAQs have already started roughly half-a-dozen walkthroughs by now.
Anyway, how's Galaxy shaping up for you guys? I figure plenty of you have beaten Bowser, but anyone snag all 120 stars yet?

I haven't even beaten Bowser yet. I've only got like 30 stars. The game's more fun in small doses, I think.
