PaRappa the Rapper is one of the greatest things ever made. I don't just mean greatest games, I seriously think it's a contender for greatest artifact yet produced by human civilization. I don't think anyone plans on arguing with me.
Majesco is set to publish a new Wii game made by PaRappa creators Masaya Matsuura and Rodney Alan Greenblat in 2008. Now, this doesn't guarantee we'll get a game on par with the original PaRappa; after all, UmJammer Lammy was only okay and PaRappa 2 was kind of sad. Still, it's probably going to result in something at least as awesome as Zack & Wiki, and that's pretty damned awesome.
Masaya Matsuura and Rodney Alan Greenblat are industry visionaries whose legacy was built on crafting groundbreaking, genre-defining entertainment experiences that everyone can enjoy, said Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer, Majesco. We are incredibly excited to be working with talent of this caliber and believe our game shares the same broad mass market appeal as successful music-based products like Activisions Guitar Hero and MTVs Rock Band.
Be sure to check out the PaRappa vids behind the cut.
Just imagine this sort of thing with the Wii remote factored in (and assume that this is the good kind of Wii remote controls, not the soul-killing kind).
Just for fun, the opening to the PaRappa the Rapper anime. No, the show wasn't as good as this video, but... what show could be?

sorry, no. Um Jammer Lammy is the best of the three. I wish they'd make a sequal to it, but it will never happen. :(
NO U.
Nah, I can see why someone would like UmJammer Lammy. It's a fine game on its own, just wasn't a good idea for a PaRappa follow-up.
