The opening bid on this treasure is only $17, but there's no way it won't be closing out at some ridiculously high figure. Seller jonszczep is running an auction for a complete copy of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past signed by Shigeru Miyamoto himself. The signature isn't certified, but if it's a forgery then this guy makes up a good anecdote.
It started on February 20th, 2003, the day before. I arrived in London with a plan to stay at a hostel and then walk the next morning to the signing. Except, on the way there, I passed the Virgin Megastore and saw that 6 people were already queuing outside, so I become number 7! We stood there all day and all night, and it was a very cold night in February. ... Before midnight wed reached 10 people, the number that would get Zelda on GBA free. ... Next it was several hours of queuing inside, before Miyamoto made an appearance, jumping around to an applause. ... I asked for my boxed copy of Zelda on the SNES to be signed, and then he handed me a free copy of Zelda LTTP on the GBA, signed as well.

Oh my God it's that guy who TheRedEye was increasingly hostile towards.
Maybe he really IS quitting gaming after his magnum opus!
