ColorWare is a service that's willing to customize electronics you send in with a nice, glossy scratch-resistance paint job in any color or combination of colors you like. Their specialties are laptops, iPods, and smartphones, but they've been customizing Wiis and various controllers for awhile now.
The Nintendo DS Lite is the latest addition to the range of products they're willing to customize, right down to stylus detailing. The cost depends on how much you want done to your DS Lite, and certain base colors of the hardware aren't changeable (such as the face button color). If even the Cobalt and Blue DS seems like too much of a trend-follower's machine for you, then a Colorware DS is sure to show off your inherent iconoclasm.
(Or prove you have a really bad color sense.)
