As of this writing, the non-trial version of the Nintendo Fan Network at Safeco Field has gone live. The Fan Network software works like other DS demos, staying in your DS until you turn the power off, and can be downloaded from over a dozen stadium kiosks for free.
Coverage from local paper The Tacoma News Tribune has full coverage of the Fan Network's features. The feature list seems basically identical to what was covered when DS Fanboy smuggled lucky bastard JC Fletcher into one of the 2007 Fan Network tests, but there is one notable addition.
Pitch Effect, which should be introduced this weekend and will allow viewers to see the trajectory of each pitch and get information on the speed and placement of each ball thrown.
That's... actually really amazing, what the hell. Anyway, if you live in the Safeco Field area and have a taste for baseball, go try out the Fan Network and tell me what you thought.
If you, like me, live so far away that the Fan Network is but a beautiful dream, a GameTrailers user has uploaded a video of the Network in action. The quality isn't great, to be honest, but it should leave you with a solid idea of what kinds of features the Fan Network provides, and envious hatred for the Mariners once you realize your home team is probably never going to give you a Fan Network.
Finally, DS Fanboy's original Fan Network coverage includes a frankly gigantic gallery of images of the test version of the Fan Network in action. I don't think they snagged any pics of the limited edition Mariners DS Lites on sale at the stadium now, but everything else you could possibly want to see should be there. Why, I even plundered the top page image from it, that gallery is so great.

Wow, this almost makes up for the destruction of my beloved Kingdome a decade ago.
Sadly, the Mariners DS is a disappointing white + logo instead of Mariner Blue + Logo.
