Cooking Mama: World Kitchen Announced

The original DS Cooking Mama has a certain demented charm that's slowly but surely decreased with each successive sequel. Have we finally hit rock-bottom? I ask you all to take a look at the first screens released for Cooking Mama: World Kitchen, the first full 3D entry in the Cooking Mama series. This game's big feature is going to be having to play mini-games to correct mistakes made while cooking, such as trying to catch a dropped hamburger with Mama's apron. Yeah, it's impossible for me to fake enthusiasm for this. Majesco, guys, maybe you should give Mama a rest for a bit?

Yeah, that looks pretty much horrible. Mama's head takes up like an entire fourth of that screenshot! For some reason her monster head is perfectly acceptable when it's in 2D, but in 3D...no.
I don't know, I kind of liked the last two Cooking Mamas, and I'm curious to see what (if anything) they do different in this one. I don't think anyone asked for a shift to 3D, though.
